We extract and process pyroxene-basaltoid andesite at Blidar Quarry - continuing the tradition of the former IPIC-CF Maramureș.
SC STUR SRL, with headquarters in Baia Mare, Blidar Street No. 71, continues the activity of the former IPIC-CF Maramureș under Operating Licence No. 3310/2002, certified by attestation certificate No. 607/09.03.2000.
Blidar Quarry is located about 25 km from Baia Mare, on the left bank of the Stur valley. Access is via the paved Baia Mare–Firiza–Blidar–Poiana lui Dumitru road.
The products we offer bear the PLACAJE DE BLIDAR mark - a registered trademark. Any products in other locations are not PLACAJE DE BLIDAR.
Pyroxene-basaltoid andesite with porphyritic structure, dark colour, compact texture.
Splits into horizontal slabs 1–16 cm thick, forming parallelepiped columns.
Does not absorb water - ideal as a stone griddle for grilling meat, fish, potatoes, on slabs cut to size.
Natural slabs 1–11 cm thick for facades, paths and outdoor cladding.
Andesite blocks for construction, walls and garden landscaping.
Andesite kerbs for paths, sidewalks and edging.

The quarry is equipped with modern blasting, loading and transport machinery, plus a 60-tonne scale for weighing products. All products are sold ex-quarry.
