Blidar Cladding

Natural andesite slabs between 1 and 11 cm thick, split along the rock's natural planes. For facade cladding, walls, paths, gazebos and outdoor landscaping.

Rough & Dressed Stone

Andesite blocks, rough or hand-dressed. Suitable for retaining walls, foundations, garden landscaping and rustic construction.

Kerbs

Andesite kerbs for path, sidewalk, lawn and parking edging. Resistant to frost, traffic and wear.

Post Caps

Decorative pieces for fences, gates and enclosures. Protects posts from water ingress and adds durable aesthetic detail.

Custom Slabs & Carvings

Custom pieces and carvings made to client specifications. Slabs are sawn to size - also ideal as stone griddles for grilling meat, fish and potatoes.

Crushed Stone

Andesite crushed to various grain sizes. For foundations, forest roads, ballast and technical landscaping.

Placaje de Blidar^® grades

Recommended uses by thickness

Placaje de Blidar^® slabs come in various sizes, between 1 and 11 cm. Depending on the grades available, we recommend them as follows:

1–3 cm

For interior cladding, pillars, foundations, fireplaces, plinths, walls, stairs, etc.

4–6 cm

For paving pedestrian alleys or areas with light vehicle traffic.

7–8 cm

For paving courtyards with heavy vehicle traffic - one of the most resistant grades we offer.

9–11 cm

For paving areas with heavy-tonnage traffic or for building retaining walls. This grade can be laid directly on a sand bed, eliminating the cost of concrete, reinforcement mesh, etc.

Natural quality, registered trademark

Our slabs are not industrial products - they are split by hand along the rock's natural cleavage planes, by teams who have known the quarry for decades. Blidari andesite is non-hygroscopic, resistant to frost and to heavy mechanical loads, and it keeps its characteristic blackish colour.
