SC STUR SRL, with headquarters in Baia Mare, Blidar Street No. 71, continues the activity of the former IPIC-CF Maramureș at Blidar Quarry. The company operates under Exploitation Licence No. 3310/2002 and is certified under attestation certificate No. 607/09.03.2000.
Blidar Quarry sits about 25 km from Baia Mare, on the left bank of the Stur valley. Access is via the paved Baia Mare–Firiza–Blidar–Poiana lui Dumitru road - a mountain route that climbs through the forests of the Gutâi Mountains.

The work of the team
Andesite slabs are extracted by hand, by teams of workers who know the rock intimately and understand how it splits into natural sheets. This technique, passed down through generations, guarantees the quality and the natural shape of the slabs - they cannot be reproduced industrially.
All products carry the registered trademark PLACAJE DE BLIDAR. Our products are sold exclusively ex-quarry. Any products found in other locations are not PLACAJE DE BLIDAR!
